Trey surprised us with a painting! He's got quite the artistic talent. I love this painting!! It's an original masterpiece that we only paid $4500 for. It will look great in the dining room...or the living room..I haven't decided yet.

Newly Finished Floors

Last weekend was crazy, to say the least! Brennon decided to take on the task of re-finishing our existing hardwood floors. So, 35 hours later and a lost weekend, here is the finished product!! Whoo-hoo! Not bad for a first timer.

Yesterday marked 3 years of wedded bliss for Brennon and me. Ok, so it's not all totally "wedded bliss" but I have to say I love being married!! Through thick and thin, all the good and the bad, I still love this man more today than yesterday. It was different this year as most of our conversation focused on preparing to bring a child into our world and how things will be different next year. 

To dinner we went and then we took a stroll on the Plaza. Of course we had to stop on the bridge where Brennon got down on one knee. It was such a beautiful and enjoyable evening.

Dog N Jog

Last Sunday Blackjack, Brennon, and I did the Dog N Jog on the Plaza. We did the 2 mile walk and it was so fun! Blackjack got to see all his friends!

My sister came home too!

We had a fun, cozy time sharing the news of a baby girl with our parents. My mom and Brennon's mom planned a nice dinner at the cabin. It was so special to me and Brennon. I gave the moms a gift to open. It was a pink photo album - they are supposed to fill with pictures of the new baby GIRL. The albums were pink, which "revealed" that it's a girl. They were both surprised and very excited!

Later that night the ladies played a round of Scrabble and the guys shot guns outside. Blackjack even got to go for a swim in the pond!

Progress is Good

Brennon got the hearth set with no major breaking. Whew! It's starting to come together and I'm starting to understand what I once saw on paper. I love it!

Pregnancy Update - 22 Weeks

Girls Rule!

We had our gender ultrasound last week - It's a GIRL!! 

Brennon guessed it would be a girl, and I thought it was a boy. 

We couldn't be more excited at the thought of a little girl we will get to meet in about 4.5 months!!

We will now be entertaining ideas for girls names. It's a good thing we have time on our side.
